In conjunction with Grammys 2019, Spotify launched a Best New Artist 2019 party for industry VIPs and music makers in celebration of nominees. This campaign revolves around the idea of giving artists an opportunity to give thanks to their hometowns for success. After which, the finale is an all-industry celebratory event with BNA nominees of 2019; Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Jorja Smith to name a few.
As the Art and Motion Director, the challenge was to create a premium and elevated design approach, bringing this up to a VIP look.
BangBangNYC - a renown tattoo studio made famous by Rihanna, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, opens up their 2nd store on Grand St SOHO in March this year. I was invited to work with Keith ‘Bangbang’ McCurdy to conceptualize the entrance tunnel for their new studio. Black glass walls flushing with plasma TVs on both sides of the entrance tunnel, I created symbolic elements related to tattoos to bring light to the best artists and their dedication to the finest craft on people.

Stella Artois Sensorium is a multi-sensory dome dining experience in Toronto. it is a multi-course dining experience with beer and food pairings where each dish will be inspired by one of the five senses – sight, sound, taste, touch & aroma. this 30 sec spot was shot in studio, edited and paired with sound and typography designs.

Challenge
AICP week basecamp is a debut 7-day event which served as a do-all gathering place for AICP Week guests as well as the home for several lively industry-related discussions, hosted by several luminaries in the industry. The challenge is to create a long motion graphics LED panel across the workshop space that brings out the lively and energetic mood where ideas fly.
Opportunity
Being a debut workshop allows me to create a brand new branding package for AICP Basecamp.
Solution
Through series of ideas through mindmap, I came down to the idea of individual professions coming together, connecting and exchanging at this event.
CONNECTION is the keyword here.
Using black dot, I separate them into geometric pieces - all different shapes but come together in the black dot.
Using motion to show things separating and coming together again as a different form. I show how small dots connecting together through lines. They separate to show connection, come together to show 3d.
Poetspeak is an app created to spread the variety and importance of English Language through poetry and prose. Using the multiple languages switching function on your smartphone (android or ios), we came up with a fun way to speak and spread Poet’s writing style through texting.
Once downloaded, the app allows you to pick your poet among Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, E.E Cummings, Robert Frost and others. Using the auto-correct function, the Poet of choice will rise from his ashes to correct the abbreviations that we Millennial so often used.
